Our Story

Born Out of a Real Gap in the Market

Haul Brigade was founded by Duane Epperly — the same owner behind Maid Brigade of Maryland, which has served Montgomery and Frederick County since 1988.

After years of running Maid Brigade, Duane kept seeing the same situation play out: homeowners with mountains of junk that needed to go before the cleaning could even begin. Estate families overwhelmed by decades of belongings. Hoarding situations handled by junk companies that showed up, judged, and rushed out.

The gap was clear: Maryland needed a compassionate, professional junk hauling and cleanout company that treated clients — especially those in vulnerable situations — with the dignity they deserved.

Haul Brigade was the answer. Built on the same values as Maid Brigade, with the same commitment to professionalism, honesty, and service that our community has come to expect.

Also the owner of Maid Brigade of Maryland. Duane founded Haul Brigade to fill the compassionate cleanout gap he saw firsthand in the communities he’s served for decades.

Operations Manager

Scheduling & Dispatch

Coordinates all jobs across both counties, manages the crew schedule, and handles hoarder and estate consultations. Your first point of contact after booking.

Senior Crew Lead

Montgomery County

Leads the Gaithersburg-based crew. Licensed driver, certified in OSHA 10-hour safety, and personally oversees all estate and hoarder consultations in Montgomery County.
